1. Google introduces Website-reported Autofeeds

  • Google introduces Website-reported Autofeeds which allows users to add in-store inventory to the Merchant Center.
  • This feature requires Google Tag Manager integration and your site must have the ability to provide a product and inventory Google Tag Manager tag.
  • Advertisers can activate this feature by following a simple process and configuring the required parameters: Target Country, Language, Item ID, Store Code, Price and Availability.

2. Google Ads introduces Target CPC bidding

  • Google introduces Target Cost Per Click bidding to Demand Gen, allowing advertisers to set bids based on their desired cost per click.
  • This feature works to achieve as many clicks as possible with the budgeted cost.
  • It is an automatic feature that uses historical data about your campaigns to set average costs.
  • You can activate this feature by setting Target CPC at both campaign level and ad group level.

3. WhatsApp sets to roll out ads

  • WhatsApp is launching ads in statuses to help businesses increase their visibility and grow.
  • The app will now have channel subscriptions and promoted channels so users can discover new channels.
  • These updates will display on the Updates tab separate from your chats tab.
  • It will also include data privacy standards such as your ad preference info and location restrictions.

4. Reddit launches two new ad tools

  • Reddit launches two new Community Intelligence ad tools called Reddit Insights and Conversation Summary Add-on.
  • Reddit Insights is a tool to help advertisers see conversation summaries, topic information, post links and top subreddits.
  • Conversation Summary Add-on helps brands highlight positive posts and sentiment summaries below their ads.

5. YouTube follow-on view optimisation is now available in Demand Gen campaigns

  • Demand Gen now features YouTube follow-on views optimisation, which targets people who are more likely to watch your videos after watching your ad.
  • To activate this feature, visit your Conversions Summary, Engagements, Edit goal, and select YouTube follow-on views. 
  • You have to edit the settings to be “Primary action” and link your YouTube channel to your Google Ads Account.

6. Google Ads set to launch AI Max in Q3 2025

  • Google is set to launch AI Max to all advertisers in the third quarter of 2025.
  • AI Max offers advertisers improved search term matching, better text customisation of your headlines and descriptions, and final URL expansion to increase the relevancy of your landing page to a user’s intent.
  • The beta version is currently available to a select group of advertisers.

7. Microsoft Advertising launches Performance Max updates

  • Microsoft Advertising launched new updates, allowing Performance Max to now follow standard auction dynamics when overlapping with Standard Shopping campaigns. 
  • Advertisers can now import the first image from Google or Meta ads into Microsoft Audience ads as native creatives.
  • The Reporting homepage also has a new look with a new Custom Report Builder.

8. Google may pause ads linked to violators’ accounts

  • Google announces it may pause ad accounts linked to a Manager account violating their third-party policy. 
  • Advertisers need to unlink their accounts from the Manager account to resume serving ads. 
  • Users will get an in-account notification and an email notification with instructions on how to unlink their account.

9. Google launches Offerwall

  • Google launches Offerwall, a feature that allows advertisers to earn revenue while giving them choices. 
  • The audience can choose how to view the ads: watching a short ad, completing a quick survey, or paying in micro payments. 
  • Offerwall is now available in Ad Manager and includes a new AI feature, Optimize.

10. Google Analytics rolls out Consent Signal Ratings

  • GA4 now features Consent Signal Ratings for each data stream and Google Ads may block conversion tracking for non-compliance. 
  • It rates your implementation as Excellent, Good or other categories. 
  • Users can find this feature by clicking Admin > Data collection and modification > Consent settings.

11. Google introduces first-order promotion 

  • Google introduces first-order promotion which displays in a highlighted UI after determining a new customer for your business. 
  • First-order promotion or new customer promotions can help you reach new customers through the New Customer Acquisition Goal in your campaign. 
  • It supports either a % or $ discount only and is avail only to US merchants.

12. X will start to charge ads based on vertical size 

  • X boss, Elon Musk, announced that X will now charge for ads based on their vertical size. 
  • Hence, ads that cover the whole screen will cost more than others. 
  • X will also be banning hashtags from ads.
